WATER CONTENT USING VOLUMETRIC KARL FISCHER APPARATUS
The method describes the general procedure to be used to analyse a solid or liquid samples for moisture (water) content. The method is applicable to sample sizes of 10 mg minimum which are soluble in the Karl Fischer (KF) reagent or from which the moisture is extractable in the KF reagent. Furthermore, the material under test must release its moisture completely, must not react with the KF solution and must not coat the electrodes resulting in an incomplete KF reaction.
The detection range is suitable for 100 ppm and 100 % of water content.
